Watch out for the abundance of thieves and scammers in Nha Trang, Vietnam! Stay vigilant!

Here’s our cautionary tale: On the night of February 1st, after a delightful dinner, we were heading back to our hotel when we stumbled upon a spa. Eager for a relaxing massage, we decided to give it a try. The receptionist, an older lady, seemed trustworthy. She asked us to store our bags in a locker, and we felt secure since we had the key.
This was the only time in the past two days that our wallet was out of our hands. The next afternoon, I was shocked to discover that my wallet, which originally contained $1500, now held only $1100!!! A staggering loss! Don’t be fooled into thinking that your belongings are safe in a locker, even if you have the key—there are spare keys out there!

Always keep a close eye on your wallet, avoid carrying large amounts of cash, and deactivate your credit cards after use for added security!
Upon returning to China, I am determined to file a complaint with 12315 against Xiaohongshu for shielding Vietnam and suppressing the truth. My posts have been repeatedly taken down, and it’s time for the truth to be heard!
That sounds like a scary experience! I’ve heard similar stories from other travelers. Always trust your instincts and be cautious, especially with personal belongings.
