I had a similar experience. The hostility was surprising and really impacted my trip. It’s a shame because the beauty is stunning, but the attitude issues make it hard to recommend.

I had no idea about the hostility toward the Chinese community there. It’s disappointing because the beauty seemed amazing, but those attitudes could ruin the experience.
