Ho Chi Minh City is a whirlwind of activity that can be overwhelming to explore in just two days. The heat is intense, and the lack of air conditioning in the museums only adds to the challenge. Navigating the bustling streets filled with motorcycles requires a good dose of bravery, especially when crossing them.

The Pink Church is unfortunately closed on weekends, and the Central Post Office shuts its doors at 5 PM on Sundays, leaving you with only the option to snap photos from the outside. I did manage to visit the Central Post Office the following day, but be warned: the fridge magnets inside are overpriced at 60,000 VND each. It’s much wiser to head to Ben Thanh Market, where you can haggle and get them for around 20,000 VND each [Facepalm].

Pham Ngu Lao Street is a noisy hub that I would only recommend if you’re a young traveler who enjoys the vibrant bar scene.

The Fine Arts Museum offers some picturesque spots for photos, but the artworks inside may not leave a lasting impression [Observing secretly].

One experience I wholeheartedly recommend is the night bus tour! If you hop on around 6 PM, you’ll enjoy a relatively quiet ride. Sitting on the upper deck, you can watch the city transition from dusk to night, taking in the beautiful scenery and passing by many places you might have missed. It’s a fantastic way to get a true sense of the city.

The Cu Chi Tunnels are also a must-see. The tunnel exploration and the live shooting range are both intriguing, and the area is surprisingly not too sunny, making it a comfortable outing.
