🔺The previous Vietnam travelogue was limited in length, so I’m providing a more detailed one today 🔺

If you feel the pinch every time you spray LeLabo, why not try Morra? If you’re in Vietnam and don’t know what to buy, get Miss.SaiGon.

Actually, calling it “Ho Chi Minh City” evokes images of old men, but referring to it as “Saigon” always brings to mind Jane March from “L’amant” (P2).

👉As a country rich in spices from its tropical rainforest regions and with over 80 years of history related to France, Vietnam’s perfumes are world-class in terms of both ingredients and craftsmanship (🐒those who understand perfumes know how deep the expertise is here!).

👉Morra has two stores, both in Saigon, so it’s fair to say this is a scent unique to Saigon. (The store is already decked out for Christmas, and it feels a bit odd to experience the festive atmosphere in shorts and t-shirts 😂). The model is almost identical to LeLabo, with each fragrance having its own number, and every bottle is mixed on-site.

The nameplate on the bottle can also be customized, with three options available: personal signature, DIY phrase, or zodiac symbol (P10). After purchasing, it takes about 20-30 minutes to prepare on-site.

👉Miss.SaiGon, the famous “Miss Saigon” perfume, has a very distinctive bottle design and is affordably priced, making it perfect for buying as a gift for friends. I highly recommend going to Hoarient (P18), a perfume specialty store under the Saigon Cosmetics Company, located right across from the Saigon Center mall.

The prices here are standard with no markup, and there might even be some store discounts or freebies. You can also find Miss Saigon perfume in various “Vietnamese specialty” shops, but they will have some markup. ⚠️The most outrageous is the airport counter, with a markup of up to 40%. If you’re not too busy and have time to shop, do not wait until you get to the airport to buy it.

⚠️
I had no idea there were so many great perfume stores in Saigon! Miss.SaiGon sounds like a must-try since it’s locally popular. I’ll definitely check out Morra if I want something more budget-friendly than LeLabo. This guide is super helpful for anyone visiting Vietnam!
Thank you for your kind words! Yes, Miss.SaiGon is a local favorite and absolutely worth trying. Morra offers great value without compromising on quality—perfect for budget-conscious shoppers. Happy exploring, and enjoy the vibrant perfume scene in Saigon!
