✨【Itinerary】
To get cheaper flights, we chose to fly from Phu Quoc to Hanoi and then transfer back to Chengdu.
Other bloggers’ posts look very chic and Instagram-worthy, but my photos turned out more like a mix of urban and rural [Sweating Emoji][Sweating Emoji][Sweating Emoji][Sweating Emoji][Sweating Emoji][Face Palm Emoji][Face Palm Emoji][Face Palm Emoji][Face Palm Emoji][Face Palm Emoji]
We stayed in Hanoi for 2 days and 1 night, with accommodation booked near Hoan Kiem Lake.
It turned out that there was a toy wholesale market right downstairs from the hotel!! In the early morning, you could hear the sounds of rolling shutters and noisy chatter.
The most painful part was going out, which was an extreme challenge for my wallet 😭 (Me: Let’s go quickly. Kid: Mom, can I take one more look?
Can I buy this?)
1️⃣ Water Puppet Show
There were many people buying tickets, and since we made a reservation in advance, we could only get seats a bit further back. I had high hopes at first, but the puppet dolls reminded me of a horror movie, and the laughter was quite eerie.
2️⃣ Egg Coffee☕️
A specialty of Hanoi, we specifically went to a popular internet cafe.
They even charged a service fee, and while it didn’t have the fishy taste I expected, it wasn’t as good as I imagined.
3️⃣ Stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake🌳
Similar to having tea in People’s Park in Chengdu, one cup per seat, but better for resting after a long walk.
4️⃣ St. Joseph’s Cathedral⛪️
[Railway Street] Mainly for capturing the moment when the train passes by.
You need to get there early to secure a spot, as trains don’t pass by frequently. Check the schedule before going.
⚠️ Note! The cathedral is not open all day (we missed it), so just take a photo at the entrance and leave.

About the food:
– The pho in Hanoi is pretty much the same everywhere!
– You can buy baguettes 🥖 from street vendors without worrying about quality.
– There was a popular pastry with a long queue, but it was too oily for my taste.
