Hoi An is the first destination I highly recommend. If you, like me, aren’t a fan of towering skyscrapers, this charming town will delight you with its low-rise, vibrantly colored houses. The ancient quarter is a delightful blend of historical influences, particularly Chinese culture, which adds a unique and enchanting atmosphere.

Accommodation is both affordable and comfortable; you can find a cozy hostel that includes a hearty breakfast for just 30 yuan. For under 10 yuan, you can rent a bicycle for the day, giving you the freedom to explore at your own pace. Cycling through Hoi An with friends is an absolute joy. You can take a short, scenic ride to the riverside, where you can hop on a coconut boat for a fun and relaxing experience.

The journey to the seaside is only about ten minutes by bike, and the route is lined with picturesque countryside views.

Once you reach the beach, you can bask in the refreshing sea breeze and perhaps even strike up a conversation with a local or fellow traveler to practice your English.

I totally agree that Hoi An is a must-visit spot! The mix of history and vibrant architecture sounds incredible, and those affordable accommodations are such a bonus. I’d love to explore the area and try some of the local street food too.
