After our enchanting visit to Moon Lake, we ventured over to the charming Ti Top Island (which, amusingly, sounds like “ti tok”). The island is named in honor of a former Soviet figure, and you can spot a commemorative statue at the dock. Although the island is relatively small, with just one picturesque beach, it offers a delightful ten-minute stroll for taking in the scenery and snapping some photos.

For a more breathtaking experience, you can hike to the peak of the mountain, where you’ll be rewarded with a stunning panoramic view of Halong Bay. From this vantage point, the bay appears as a mesmerizing tapestry of large and small islands scattered across a shimmering jade sea, with an expansive horizon and birds soaring freely, instantly making your heart feel broad and at peace.

In the afternoon, we explored the bustling city on foot. Our journey led us to the vibrant Long Xian Temple, which was teeming with both locals and visitors, including a significant number of Chinese tourists, adding to the lively and diverse atmosphere.
