Kilimanjaro Climbing Attempts: 12 Summit Success Stories & Adventure Tips

Before unveiling the breathtaking photos from my 12 successful ascents, I want to take a moment to reflect on this unforgettable climbing season. One particularly challenging day stands out—when a teammate began suffering from altitude sickness shortly after departure, prompting our team to make the tough but necessary decision to turn back just an hour into our climb. Safety always comes first.

From the season’s grand opening on December 23, 2023, to its triumphant finale on March 29, 2025, I embarked on 13 exhilarating expeditions. To every courageous climber who entrusted me with their journey—thank you. Your determination, laughter, and triumphant shouts at each summit filled this season with unforgettable memories. Guiding you to those awe-inspiring peaks has been the greatest privilege of my career.

A quick insider tip for aspiring adventurers: Mount Kilimanjaro stands as one of the world’s most accessible high-altitude peaks, requiring no technical climbing expertise. But timing is everything! For optimal conditions, plan your ascent between December to mid-March or June to mid-October when the skies are clear and the trails welcoming. Steer clear of the rainy season—slippery paths and obscured views can turn your dream climb into an endurance test.

Got questions about conquering Kilimanjaro? I’m always here to share insights and tips! Here’s to many more adventures together—may our next season be filled with even greater heights and unforgettable moments. The mountains are calling, and I can’t wait to answer with you by my side!
