Here are some important prerequisites:
1. My husband and I traveled with a couple friend, making a group of 4️⃣ people.
2. The travel dates were 5.9-5.18, during Tanzania’s off-peak tourist season.
3. We compared multiple local tour operators 8 months in advance, finalized the itinerary, signed a contract, and paid a deposit.

🌟 Transportation
– International flights: Beijing to Kilimanjaro, 3,836 RMB/person
– Zanzibar to Beijing, 5,993 RMB/person
– Domestic flight: Serengeti to Zanzibar (included by the tour operator)
– Airport transfers, safari, and Zanzibar island transportation (included by the tour operator)

🌟 Accommodation
– **Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge**: 1 night, 5-star estate-style
– **Lemala Mpingo Ridge**: 1 night, luxury tent
– **Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge**: 1 night, 5-star fortress-style (not recommended—small, old rooms, bad food)
– **Asilia Namiri Plains Camp**: 3 nights, ultra-luxury tent (includes 3 days of open safari vehicles)
– **Zuri Zanzibar Hotel**: 3 nights, deluxe 5-star resort

All accommodations were great except Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge. Highly recommend **Asilia Namiri Plains Camp** and **Zuri Zanzibar Hotel**!

🌟 Meals
– All meals were included except lunch on the first day and dinner on the last (since we arrived early and departed late).
– First 3️⃣ days of safari: packed lunches (don’t expect much, see pic 17).
– At Asilia, lunch was served back at camp ✅ So good! If it weren’t so expensive, I’d stay there all 7 safari days 😭
– Only Ngorongoro Serena’s food was bad—dry and bland 😵… Other hotels were delicious 👍

🌟 Special Activities
– Serengeti hot air balloon + Zanzibar dolphin watching & snorkeling (included by the tour operator)
– **Cheetah’s Rock** in Zanzibar: $160/person (self-paid, includes hotel transfers)

🌟 Tips for Guides & Hotel Staff
– Driver: $5-10 per person per day
– Porters: $1 per luggage (2 staff per room, one suitcase each)

⚠️ Word limit!! The rest is in pic 2️⃣

This breakdown is super helpful! I didn’t realize how much the domestic flights could add up. Did you feel like 4 people was the right group size for cost-sharing?
Thanks for your feedback! Four people can work well if everyone shares costs equally, but smaller groups might be more intimate. Domestic flights indeed add up, so planning together helps manage expenses. Happy to help if you have more questions!
