On the very first day, I managed to break the tripod—a clear message from the universe, I thought, urging me to shift my focus entirely to the hike itself. So, I immersed myself in the surroundings: I marveled at birds in flight, admired flowers swaying gently in the breeze, and watched clouds drift lazily across the sky.
I identified rocks and species, savoring every fleeting moment as it unfolded before me. The biodiversity along the Wai Wai Stone Highline may not be abundant, but with a keen eye and an open heart, one can uncover countless treasures gifted by nature:
[Cherry Blossom R] Alpine lupines, which grow worldwide, thrive here as shrubs with a strikingly pungent aroma;
[Cherry Blossom R] Cacti that resemble soft, fluffy clouds but are surprisingly resilient;
[Cherry Blossom R] Glacial lakes connected like a string of pearls, each boasting unique compositions and mesmerizing hues;
[Cherry Blossom R] Lichens that feel almost artificial underfoot, reminiscent of a plastic track;
[Cherry Blossom R] Misty forests that evoke the tranquility of a summer’s day back home;
[Cherry Blossom R] Unphotographed yet unforgettable shades of pink, blues so vivid they seem painted, and full moons that light up the night sky;
