The sky was a somber gray, and as we journeyed toward Mount Cook, our guide grimly announced that the helicopter tours were surely canceled due to the weather. To make matters worse, he added that without advance bookings, securing a seat would be nearly impossible.
But as we arrived at the base of the mountain, a glimmer of hope appeared: a helicopter was just lifting off into the mist.
Seizing the moment, we dashed to the airport, hearts pounding with excitement. Miraculously, we managed to squeeze in and share a flight with two other adventurers [Love it R][Love it R][Love it R].
The Tasman Glacier was an absolute marvel, its pristine beauty leaving us in awe!
