During the rainy season in Kota Kinabalu, afternoons often bring showers. On the first day, it rained throughout the afternoon, eventually turning into a heavy downpour. I hoped to wait it out and ventured into the sea despite the rain, but as darkness fell, I had to paddle back to the beach before the storm intensified.

The instructor was incredibly kind and offered to provide the trip for free the next day if we could catch the sunset, making up for the disappointment.
On the second day, it started raining around 4:00 PM, and I almost gave up. But then, the sky began to clear, revealing a stunning double rainbow —a truly rare and magical sight.

This paddleboarding adventure sounds amazing! I love how it focuses on chasing those stunning sunsets—such a unique way to experience Kota Kinabalu. Do you have any tips for first-timers who want to make the most out of the two days?
