Hi, I’m your @Xiaochengge

Malaysia is a treasure trove of islands, and Langkawi stands out as one of the earliest to gain popularity. My friends and I recently visited Langkawi on our way to Koh Lipe. If you’re planning a trip
, make sure to save this guide for some valuable insights.

Playability
If you’ve explored other islands, Langkawi might not be a must-visit. The seawater is average, and the sand isn’t particularly fine. For seasoned island hoppers, it can be a bit underwhelming. However, if it’s your
st time, Langkawi offers convenient transportation and well-developed facilities, making it a cost-effective choice.

Sightseeing Spots
Paya Island
Known as the “Great Barrier Reef of the South Seas,” Paya Island boasts the clearest waters in Langkawi, perfect for snorkeling. You might even catch a glimpse of baby sharks
, adding an exciting touch to your underwater adventure.

Pantai Cenang
This is the prime spot for sunset viewing in Langkawi. Enjoy a romantic dinner by the beach while watching the sun dip below the horizon
. For thrill-seekers, paragliding
is also available, offering a bird’s-eye view of the stunning coastline.

Wet Rice Island
Langkawi is surrounded by numerous small islands, and a day of island hopping is a must. We chose Wet Rice Island, where the sand is a bit rough, but on a clear day, you can marvel at the jellyfish sea. The lack of crowds makes it a peaceful retreat.

Sky Bridge
Perched between two mountain peaks, the Sky Bridge offers breathtaking panoramic views of Langkawi. It’s a thrilling experience that combines nature and adventure.

Kuah Town
This vibrant town in Langkawi is a delightful mix of colorful houses, exuding the perfect Southeast Asian island vacation vibe. It’s a great place to explore local culture and cuisine.

TS DUTY FREE
Chocolate lovers, rejoice! TS DUTY FREE is a paradise for chocolate enthusiasts. You can find a wide variety of chocolates from around the world at incredibly low prices.
Temple Tree Resort
This resort is a picturesque gem, offering both accommodation and dining. While the food is just okay [smirkR], the ambiance is perfect for a relaxing afternoon. Sip on a cup of coffee, enjoy some afternoon tea, and capture some Instagram-worthy moments.
Transportation
From Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi, it’s a 1-hour flight; from Penang, it’s just 30 minutes; from Singapore, it takes about 1 hour; and from Langkawi to Koh Lipe by boat, it’s approximately 60 minutes.
Langkawi lacks a public transportation system, so renting a car or using Uber is your best bet for getting around.
