Tips Summary

1. From Kuala Lumpur to Malacca (see Figure 9): Take a bus, first by subway to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS), then transfer to a bus for a 2.5-hour journey to Malacca station (16 RM). You can buy tickets in advance on easybook or at TBS station. ⚠️ After purchasing online, you still need to exchange for a paper ticket at the station.

2. Jonker Street (see Figure 10): A bustling hub of many restaurants, colorful houses, and picturesque scenes. Don’t miss the lively night market on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
3. Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum (see Figure 11): Ticket price 18 RM, and a filming location of “The Little Nyonya.”
4. Dutch Square (see Figure 11): Free to visit, this square is home to several famous attractions including Christ Church, Melaka History and Ethnography Museum, and St.

Paul’s Hill Church.
5. Stadthuys: The bright red façade is a perfect backdrop for memorable photos.
6. Malacca Sultanate Palace (see Figure 12): Admission is 20 RM (a bit pricey but worth it).
7. A Famosa (see Figure 13): Explore the historical ruins that tell a story of the past.
8. St. Paul’s Church (see Figure 14): The hilltop offers an excellent vantage point to overlook the Malacca Strait.

9. Taming Sari Tower (see Figure 15): Enjoy a breathtaking view of the Malacca cityscape, ticket price 26 RM, which includes a bottle of water.
10. Melaka Duck Tours: The ticket office is next to the Taming Sari Tower (see Figure 16), ticket price 52 RM, the entire journey takes 45 to 60 minutes without getting off, and it reaches the Maritime Mosque after about 15 minutes.
11. Maritime Mosque (see Figure 16): The best time to visit is during dusk and sunset, around 18:30-19:30, for a truly magical experience.
12. The attractions are relatively close and can be reached on foot, but remember to bring a sun hat as it can get quite sunny; you can also use Grab or Bolt for convenient taxi rides.
