Malaysia is now visa-free, but there’s a crucial step you can’t miss: applying for the Malaysian MDAC electronic entry card at least 3 days in advance! Without this, your travel plans could be ruined. Just last week, someone was denied boarding and had to return home, completely disrupting their vacation!

Preparations before entry
Passport (mandatory): Ensure it’s valid for more than 6 months, undamaged, and even new passports are acceptable.
MDAC Entry Card (mandatory): Fill it out within 3 days before your trip. Detailed Chinese filling instructions are provided at the end of the image!
Hotel itinerary and return flight ticket: Electronic versions are fine.

Note that Malaysia doesn’t check return tickets upon entry, but they will be checked when you depart from China.
SIM Card: Purchase one after arrival or activate international roaming.
Power adapter: Buy a UK standard one.
Cash: Bring around 500 RM just in case.
VISA card, UnionPay card: Remember to lock your card on the app before and after use to prevent fraud.

Simplified Steps for Filling Out the Malaysian MDAC:
Step 1: Open Alipay and use the mobile visa service to fill out the form. It’s much easier in Chinese.
Step 2: Enter your entry information, all in Chinese, so no need to worry about making mistakes!
Step 3: Upload your passport, and the system will automatically identify and fill in the information for you.

It’s very simple!
Step 4: Click “add” to fill out entry cards for multiple people at the same time.
Step 5: Wait just 10 seconds, and download the entry card PDF.

Notes for Filling Out the MDAC Entry Card
For flights arriving in the early morning, the entry date should be the date after midnight.
If you’re traveling to multiple cities in Malaysia, only fill in the city and hotel for the first night
