Pre-Trip Preparation:
1. Visa and Documents
① For Chinese travelers, the most common Indonesian visas are the electronic visa on arrival (e-VOA) and the visa on arrival (VOA). The e-VOA must be applied for and paid online before your trip, and then printed out. The VOA can be obtained by paying in cash at the entry window.

② Ensure you have your passport, international health code (printed from the WeChat mini-program), round-trip flight itinerary, and accommodation booking for a hotel or homestay ready.

2. Daily Necessities
① Essential medicines: cold medicine, anti-inflammatory drugs, band-aids, heat-clearing and detoxifying medicine, and any other personal medications.
② Power adapter and power strip, as most outlets in Indonesia use 2-pin cylindrical plugs.
③ Sunscreen with high SPF, due to the intense UV rays in Indonesia.

④ Swimming gear, as Indonesia boasts numerous islands perfect for swimming and snorkeling.
⑤ Liushen mosquito repellent, which is effective for up to 8.2 hours and contains 20% imported German hydroxyethyl piperazine, is highly recommended.

This itinerary is super helpful, especially the part about pre-trip preparations like the visa options. I wish I had known about the e-VOA earlier during my last visit; it sounds so much more convenient than the VOA at the airport.
