The sky is a breathtaking expanse of blue, the sea mirrors its azure hues, and the sand glows in a soft, rosy pink. As the sun sets, it paints the horizon with a stunning array of colors. I always thought that traveling was a journey where your eyes feast on paradise while your body endures the trials! I never imagined there could be such exquisite, heavenly accommodations in a national park.

Welcome to Komodo Resort, a place so close to nature’s divine beauty. As the boat docks, the resort staff are already waiting at the pier, ready to greet you. After a seamless check-in by the seaside, your luggage will be whisked away to your room, leaving you free to explore.

Each room here is a standalone villa, complete with an unbeatable sea view balcony. The surroundings are adorned with vast expanses of vibrant bougainvillea, and the architectural style, which predominantly uses thatch and bamboo, blends seamlessly with the island’s natural environment.

Guests who visit this tranquil haven are often diving enthusiasts or those seeking a peaceful retreat. The resort occupies a small, secluded island, offering a serene escape from the bustling crowds of Bali.

**Activities:**
– **Dive into Adventure!** Diving is a must-do when you visit. At Manta Point in Komodo National Park, you can witness schools of manta rays and a dazzling array of coral reefs. Even if you don’t have a diving license, you can sign up for courses right here.
– **Explore Komodo National Park!

** Take a day trip to the famous pink beach, Padar Island, and even catch a glimpse of the legendary Komodo dragons! (For more details, see my previous post)
– **Climb for a Sunset View!** Hike up a small hill and watch the sunset paint the sky in shades of pink and gold.
– **Relax by the Sea!** Spend a lazy day sunbathing by the seaside, doing nothing but soaking in the tranquility.

**Transportation:**
– Fly into Labuan Bajo Airport (the nearest airport to Komodo National Park).
– From the airport, it’s about a 30-minute drive to Labuan Bajo Pier.
– From the pier, it’s approximately a 1-hour boat ride to Komodo Resort.

**Suitable Seasons:**
– The climate on Komodo Island is very hot from April to December.
– January to March is the rainy season, but unlike other parts of Indonesia, Komodo Island does not experience continuous heavy rain. The weather is generally sunny and bright throughout the year.

**Other Notes:**
– Rooms are limited, so make sure to book well in advance. We booked our stay three months ahead and got the last available room!
– Sand flies can be a nuisance during sunset, so bring mosquito repellent or stay away from the beach.
– Three meals a day are included in your stay. (There are no other restaurants on the island)
– Before boarding the boat, you need to go to the travel agency office to collect your national park tickets.
**A Side Note on Environmental Protection:**
Due to the rarity of the Komodo dragon, the island has unfortunately attracted poachers, including those who steal dragon eggs for high profits. This has led to a sharp decline in this already endangered species. Don’t underestimate the impact of any species disappearing from Earth.
The intricate links of the food chain are a miraculous coordinator. If biodiversity is rapidly destroyed, agriculture, forestry, and fisheries will be the first to suffer, leading to the deterioration of water and soil environments.
As more industries face the threat of becoming unsustainable, it’s crucial to recognize that the ultimate burden will fall on humanity. I urge everyone to cherish and protect biodiversity, to reject products derived from endangered species, and to actively support global environmental conservation efforts.
