All you need is your passport and some cash [Smiling R]. They will ask for an email address; I provided my QQ email, and the visa confirmation was sent immediately.

Once you have your visa, proceed through the self-service exit. There’s no need to go through the manual “tip” process (I was strongly asked for a tip in 2018 and 2019, but I politely declined).
