In August 2023, I embarked on an exhilarating 9-day, 8-night Indonesian volcano adventure with five university friends, two of whom are Chinese-Indonesians. We kicked off our journey by staying at a friend’s place for the first two days, which was a budget-friendly choice. However, this arrangement meant we had to return to Malaysia
from Jakarta at the end of our trip.
