Head to Indonesia for an unforgettable adventure, where majestic volcanoes and breathtaking waterfalls await. Your journey begins in Surabaya, a city rich in history and culture. I made sure to dedicate an entire day to savor the experience at the iconic Hotel Majapahit Surabaya – MGallery Collection.

This hotel is a beautifully restored colonial building that has stood for over a century, exuding a profound sense of history. The grandeur of the place is truly captivating, and every corner offers a perfect photo opportunity. Each snapshot captures the essence of its timeless beauty!

I had my doubts about the online photos, but the architecture is genuinely awe-inspiring. The exterior, with its minimalist pure white facade, showcases a symmetrical elegance. The courtyard, complete with a serene fountain and towering ancient trees, adds a touch of tranquility. The rooms are adorned with vintage decor, and the entire hotel is steeped in colonial charm. The play of light and shadow during the day, and the ambient lighting at night, create a magical atmosphere.

I was also concerned about the facilities, but they are well-maintained and functional. (The slippers are absolutely adorable! ) The value for money is excellent, making it a worthwhile stay.

The hotel’s location is superb, with a plethora of delicious food, drinks, and convenience stores just a short walk away. The in-house restaurant, Indigo, is a delightful surprise, offering modern Indonesian cuisine. The fried oxtail, in particular, is a must-try, with its incredibly aromatic and savory flavors.

After landing, treat yourself to a satisfying meal and a cup of coffee, take a refreshing nap until the early morning, and then set off to explore the stunning volcano [Party R].
