Why didn’t anyone tell me that Fukuoka hits so hard after visiting…
This place has it all—history, culture, shopping, and local food—while being way more relaxed than Tokyo or Osaka.
I also noticed most tourists here are Korean or Chinese, but hardly any Malaysians lol 🇲🇾😂

Sharing my itinerary for Fukuoka’s city center and nearby towns.
A bit sad I missed out on Itoshima, Aso, Kumamoto, and Tenjin.
If you have enough time, I’d recommend road-tripping around all of Kyushu!
I’ve also shared a budget breakdown before—check my profile if you’re interested 💰

Honestly, six days felt way too short 😂
Also, heads up—most shops and restaurants at tourist spots here close by 4-5 PM.
Plan to arrive early to avoid rushing!

I totally get what you mean about Fukuoka—it feels like this hidden gem with such a unique vibe compared to bigger cities. I’m adding Itoshima and Kumamoto to my list now since they sound amazing, and I love that you mentioned road-tripping as an option. Your guide is super helpful for planning my future trip!
I totally get what you mean about Fukuoka—it really does pack a punch with its mix of history and food! I’m jealous of your road trip idea though, especially skipping straight to places like Itoshima sounds amazing. Next time I visit, I’ll make sure to explore further than just the city center.
I totally agree, Fukuoka feels like this hidden gem with such a unique vibe compared to bigger cities. I’m curious, did you find it easy to navigate around without speaking Japanese? And oh, I can’t believe you missed out on Itoshima, it’s one of the best parts!
Fukuoka sounds amazing! I love how it balances history and culture with relaxation. I’d definitely want to explore beyond the city center too—Itoshima and Kumamoto sound epic. Road-tripping around Kyushu seems like the perfect way to experience it all!
