We’re planning a memorable road trip, starting with a car rental in Avignon and cruising down to Nice. Along the way, we’ll make scenic stops at Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, Gordes, and Roussillon before spending the night at Luparado. The next day, we’ll continue our journey to Nice. However, I have a few concerns that I’d love to clarify:

1. Given this itinerary, we’ll undoubtedly need to transport our luggage in the car and leave it behind as we explore each destination. After reading alarming stories about car break-ins, would it be wise to store all our belongings securely in the trunk? Should we avoid leaving anything visible on the seats to minimize risks?

2. In picturesque towns like Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, Gordes, Roussillon, and Antibes, we’ll need to leave our luggage unattended in the car while sightseeing. How safe are these areas for travelers who must keep their belongings in their vehicles? Are there any specific precautions we should take?
3. The optimized route suggested by Ctrip’s AI (as shown in Figure 2) recommends visiting Antibes first. Would it enhance our experience or improve logistics to detour through Lac de Sainte-Croix instead? Could this alternative route offer breathtaking views or reduce traffic concerns?
4. If traveling with luggage proves too risky, are there alternative travel methods worth considering? Unfortunately, the hotel reservation at Luparado appears non-refundable, so flexibility might be limited. Any advice on balancing safety and convenience would be greatly appreciated!
