Real Guest Feedback on Staying at Calima Hotel in Dubai

📝 Kalima Resort & Spa Phuket. First Impressions: The resort boasts a stunning infinity pool that offers breathtaking views, but beyond this feature, it doesn’t stand out much in terms of unique attractions.

📍 Location: Nestled along a winding mountain road, the resort is not within walking distance to Patong Beach or the lively downtown area. However, you’ll find a 7-Eleven and a few cliffside restaurants nearby, making essential supplies and dining options convenient. While exploring within a 500-meter radius is doable, the hilly terrain means you’ll encounter steep inclines and declines on foot. If you’re not up for a workout while sightseeing, this might not be the ideal choice for you.

🌟 Facilities: My stay was in a deluxe room, which felt standard—nothing too luxurious or disappointing. That said, the purple lighting could have been more tasteful; it leaned a bit toward tacky rather than chic.

💁🏻‍♀️ Service: The staff were attentive without being intrusive, striking just the right balance. Room service was particularly impressive—they mixed drinks expertly (check out picture 6), ensuring a refreshing experience right at your fingertips.

🍴 Dining: For an unforgettable meal, I highly recommend Abzab, located just outside the hotel. This place served the most authentic Thai dishes I tried during my visit to Phuket. With a variety of dishes plus two drinks, the total bill came to only 880 baht—a steal!

⚠️ Pricing Insight: I booked my stay for around 500-600 baht per night, and based on my experience, paying over a thousand would not be worth it. If the price is competitive and you’re looking for a picturesque infinity pool for photo ops, it’s a decent option. But if rates exceed 500-600 baht, there are better alternatives elsewhere.

🇹🇭 Bonus Tip: Before heading to Phuket, consider joining a local travel guide group where you can connect with fellow travelers and gather insider tips. A quick search for “Phuket Family” will lead you to a vibrant 500-person discussion group that meets monthly. It’s a great way to plan your trip and avoid common pitfalls.

Lastly, I suggest opting for accommodations closer to Karon or Kata Beach for a more central and convenient location.
