Yesterday, we ventured into the vibrant yet challenging slums of Medellin 🏕. Just a short distance from the upscale neighborhood where we were staying 🏢 lies an exclusive villa enclave, nestled 80 kilometers away amidst breathtaking ski slopes ⛷. This luxurious retreat, perched along the water’s edge, was our destination for today’s adventure.

As we glided smoothly across the river on our boat excursion 🛳, we caught sight of the hauntingly abandoned mansion once owned by the infamous drug lord, Pablo Escobar. Our knowledgeable guide shared fascinating details, revealing that this estate once boasted its own soccer field ⚽️ and numerous extravagant amenities.

Today, it stands under government supervision, eerily resembling its portrayal in the hit series “Narcos.” Later, we tackled the awe-inspiring Guatape Rock, the world’s third-largest monolith, savoring panoramic views from its summit. A day trip here is undeniably convenient and brimming with unforgettable experiences.
