Is Renting a Convertible in Yellowstone National Park Reliable and Affordable?

What I’m unsure about is whether cruising top-down would be practical while exploring Yellowstone. For one, I’d love to set up cameras both inside and outside the car (with an Insta360 X4 mounted externally), but that could get tricky in a convertible. Another thought weighing on me is whether driving a convertible is actually suitable—and safe—for navigating the park’s terrain and wildlife.

I’ve been debating this myself! It sounds like a great way to explore, but prices vary widely. Have you compared rental companies’ insurance options?
