✨ Cali’s weekend is a time when the energy of its digital denizens seems to intertwine, drawing vitality from one another in an electrifying dance of connection.

✨ The trees in Cali, much like in many other parts of Colombia, are nothing short of breathtaking. In the heart of the city, ancient giants stand tall and robust, their lush canopies whispering stories of centuries past. Out in the suburbs, shorter, stocky trees line the roads, exuding a youthful vigor, standing proud and wide, reminiscent of the vast expanses of the African savannah.

✨ Much like Bogotá, Cali is alive with birds—perched in orderly queues on tree branches, gathering in lively flocks in public squares, or performing breathtaking aerial ballets across the skies. (👉 Don’t forget to check out the Vlog! 🫣)

✨ The enthusiasm of tourists here is palpably higher than in the capital, a fact that didn’t escape my travel companion, who exclaimed, “It feels like every single person we’ve met has been so genuinely kind!”

✨ Standing on the hillside, we gazed out over the serene city, marveling at the gentle flow of time. But as we looked up toward the horizon, our eyes met the sprawling slums, a stark reminder of reality. Can one truly say these years are peaceful? Perhaps not universally—but for us, in that moment, they undeniably were.

✨ The air carries a unique blend of warmth and coolness, infused with the sweet scent of summer evening breezes, evoking nostalgic memories of quaint southern towns. The tree-lined avenues and quiet corners of this city transport you back to the simplicity and charm of life in the south.

✨ The sunlight bathes everything in an almost overwhelming beauty. Parks, lawns, stone steps, church plazas—these are the places where life unfolds in its purest form.

I am endlessly grateful to this city for gifting me its azure skies, emerald trees, and billowing white clouds.
