In summary, the rain poured down for three days straight 😿☔️, and the one day of sunshine happened to be Red Day (a Chilean holiday) ⛪️🏛️. Unfortunately, all the churches and museums were closed, adding a humorous twist to our plans 😂.

🗺️ Transportation
We attempted to drive out, but encountered heavy traffic during rush hour 🚗. In the city, the subway is a convenient option 🚇, and you’ll need to purchase a metro card to use it.

🏢 Presidential Palace La Moneda
In the morning, there’s sometimes a magical 🦄 guard parade, and on weekends, you might catch a protest or two 👊.

🗼 Torre Entel
This telecommunications and TV broadcast tower offers an observation deck with stunning views of the city.

🔫 Arms Square (Plaza de Armas)
One of the most popular spots for tourists, this square is home to the 🚪 Santiago Cathedral and the 🏛️ Natural History Museum, as well as the iconic STGO check-in spot.

🎨 National Museum of Fine Arts
Just an 800-meter walk northeast from Arms Square 🚶, this museum is a must-visit for art lovers.

⛰️ Virgin Mountain & Cable Car 🚡
A clear day is essential for this adventure ☀️!
🧭 Navigation: Start at Teleférico Parque Metropolitano – Estación Oasis, passing through the eastern part of the upscale neighborhood to reach the cable car entrance. The round-trip ticket to the mountain top costs 4380 pesos.

At the summit, you can visit the church of the Virgin and Jesus, and on the way up, enjoy breathtaking views of Santiago’s affluent area, the Cenco Costanera skyscraper 🏙️, and the majestic Andes Mountains in the distance 🏔️.

▪️ During winter, the sun sets early, around 5 or 6 PM, so it’s best to avoid going out alone after dark.
