After a long while, let’s reminisce about last year’s adventure—a non-self-driving journey that left lasting memories!

🌟 If you find yourself in Castro city, I highly recommend the local travel agency Turismo Queilen. It appears to be the only travel agency in the village and can easily be found on Google Maps. They offer a variety of tours every day, and you can sign up just a day in advance. Even if you decide to join at the last minute, it’s usually not a problem.

The tours include lunch, which is a great perk for those who aren’t driving themselves, as it solves most of your transportation needs. The guides are all local villagers working part-time, and they only speak Spanish. Not understanding everything isn’t a big deal, as there aren’t many other options available 😂

🌟 Our trip took us to Chiloé National Park, a serene and uncrowded destination. The hiking route was relatively easy, with an abundance of unique local flora. From the dense forest, we made our way to an observation deck that offered stunning views of the sea (unfortunately, the weather wasn’t ideal that day, but the experience was still memorable).

🌟 On the way back, after a satisfying lunch, we passed through a charming craft town (I can’t recall the name, but it might have been Cucao?). The town boasts beautiful ocean views, and on a sunny day, the scenery is simply breathtaking.

🌟 One of the biggest advantages of joining a tour group is the ease and convenience. Transportation in the village can be quite challenging, and it’s not always easy to hail a ride at the last minute. When heading to the airport, make sure to have the hotel front desk arrange a car in advance, or allow plenty of extra time to avoid any stress.
