Once you’re back on dry land, head to your hotel for a quick shower. In the evening, treat yourself to a memorable dinner and show at the renowned Rafain Churrascaria. It’s the perfect way to cap off an incredible day!
🌟 **Day 2: Itaipu Dam + Duty-Free Shopping + Triple Frontier**
Start your second day with a fascinating tour of the Itaipu Dam, one of the world’s largest hydroelectric dams. If shopping is your thing, take some time in the afternoon to explore the duty-free stores nearby (though, personally, I don’t find the selection particularly impressive or affordable).
As the sun begins to set, make your way to the Triple Frontier. Watch the sky transform into a stunning canvas of colors while enjoying a delicious dinner paired with live entertainment. Another flawless day in paradise!
🌟 **Iguazu Falls (Parque Nacional do Iguaçu)**
Words can barely do justice to the sheer magnificence of Iguazu Falls. Each visit leaves me in awe—whether it’s the radiant beauty under the sun or the haunting allure during cloudy days. Haha, it feels almost otherworldly! Entrance tickets cost 100 BRL, and upon arrival, friendly staff will guide you through purchasing them either from machines or ticket windows.
For an adventure you won’t forget, consider adding the Macuco Safari boat ride for 386 BRL per person. While pricey, it’s well worth it (check out my previous video for a real-life glimpse of the experience)!
Once inside, board the park shuttle bus. The first stop is the departure point for the boat ride—but don’t get off here unless you’re ready to get drenched! Instead, continue to the second stop, where you can leisurely walk around and admire the falls up close. This segment takes about an hour. Then, move on to the third stop before circling back to the first stop for the boat ride.
At the boat area, you can rent lockers for 10 BRL to store your belongings, buy raincoats, and access changing rooms. Pro tip: Bring a change of clothes because, trust me, no amount of rain protection will keep you completely dry—haha!

Located conveniently near Iguazu, this park is often paired with a visit to the falls. Tickets cost 80 BRL, which might seem steep, but the hour-long tour offers a delightful glimpse into Brazil’s vibrant avian life. Watching the colorful parrots up close is an experience like no other!

The bus makes three stops for sightseeing and photo opportunities, completing the journey in about an hour. For those seeking a deeper dive, the Itaipu Especial tour costs 165 BRL and grants access to the inner workings of the dam.

I absolutely adore this attraction! At just 55 BRL, it may take only about ten minutes to explore, but its sentimental worth far surpasses its appeal as a tourist hotspot. Every visit offers something special: you can soak in a breathtaking sunset, sip on a refreshing drink at the nearby restaurant, feel the gentle breeze on your skin, and then linger to enjoy the captivating performance that begins around 7 PM. It’s truly a delightful experience!
