Iguaçu National Park

It’s best to start your visit early in the morning, aiming to arrive around 10 a.m. Be sure to bring a change of clothes—you’ll need it!

Purchase your tickets at the ticket office located at the park entrance. If you’re feeling adventurous, nearby booths also offer tickets for thrilling rafting experiences.

First part:
The park is serviced by six bus stops. Hop on the bus and alight at the fifth stop, Trilha das Cataratas, where the iconic waterfall trail begins. Follow the loop trail that leads you down to the base of the falls. Along the way, you might spot enchanting rainbows 🌈 dancing in the mist and encounter small creatures scurrying about in search of snacks (don’t worry—they’re harmless, just like the adorable plush toys you’ll see later).

As you approach the falls, prepare to be embraced by a thick mist that will leave you damp—but don’t forget, this is all part of the charm! (A raincoat could come in handy.) The viewing platform here is famously where scenes from the movie “Happy Together” were filmed.
Afterward, take the elevator back up to the fourth stop, where the Macuco Safari rafting adventure awaits.

Second part:
For those who prefer a more personalized experience, you can drive into the park with a guide who will provide fascinating insights 🚶 along the way. There’s a short walking segment where you can disembark and stroll through nature. From there, make your way to the rafting station, where you have the option to choose between dry or wet rafting adventures.

Before setting off, pick up a locker key 🔑 from the store to securely store your belongings.
The rafting excursion lasts approximately 40 minutes and includes a breathtaking pause beneath the cascading waterfall for unforgettable photos. Then, get ready for an exhilarating rush under the waterfall—so intense that you won’t even be able to open your eyes 👀!

By the end, you’ll be completely soaked—but hey, why not sip some refreshing Iguaçu water while you’re at it? kkk

If time allows after your park visit, consider stopping by the bird park across the street—it’s just a stone’s throw away and only takes about an hour to explore.
