These ancient plants, which date back 300 million years to the dinosaur era, are true contemporaries of the dinosaurs and boast a history spanning 200 million years. Revered as first-class protected plants in the country, they are often called the “pandas of the plant world.
” As you wander into the Cyathea Gorge, these majestic ferns unfurl their lush green canopies like layers of natural umbrellas, creating a deep, enchanting atmosphere that feels almost otherworldly.
Activities
The scenic area is compact, with a total walking distance of approximately 5 kilometers, taking around 2-3 hours to explore fully. A leisurely stroll from Gate 1 to the parking area at Gate 2 takes about 20 minutes. For those who just want to snap some photos, it’s best to enter through Gate 1, where the main attractions are concentrated within a short 20-minute walk. If you don’t feel like completing the full route, simply retrace your steps for a quick return.
