A few days ago, I seized the opportunity during the SQ big sale and booked a ticket to Perth. It’s a round trip from China with a layover in Singapore, and all four segments are on spacious, comfortable aircraft. The total cost was just over $1,500, which is an absolute steal!

Finally, I’m about to cross Australia off my bucket list!
I plan to spend a week exploring the wonders of Western Australia.
However, since it’s a solo trip and I don’t feel confident driving, I had to reluctantly give up on some amazing spots like Exmouth 😭

📝 Here’s my current plan:
I’ll join a tour group for a 2-day adventure along the northern route.
For the southern route, I intend to hop on the TransWA bus straight to Esperance.
After all, so many people rave about its breathtaking beauty and say it’s a must-see!
With limited time, I might not be able to visit places like Albany.
But I really don’t want to confine myself to just Perth.
Please, if you’ve been there, share your tips and advice!
I love how you scored such a great deal on the flight! Have you considered visiting Margaret River for some wine tasting and stunning beaches? Just a thought, but solo travelers often find community events or group tours help meet people—might be worth checking out while you’re there!
That itinerary sounds ambitious but doable! Have you considered spending a bit more time in Margaret River or maybe adding Broome if your schedule allows? Solo travel can be incredibly rewarding, so just make sure to balance exploration with some downtime for yourself.
Thank you for the feedback! I’ve actually thought about extending my time in Margaret River—it’s such a beautiful area, and there’s so much to explore. Broome is definitely on my radar too; I’ll have to see if my schedule opens up for that. Your advice on balancing exploration with downtime is spot-on—thank you for reminding me to prioritize self-care!
