1. **Hyde Park**
Sydney’s oldest urban park, Hyde Park, is a tranquil oasis featuring iconic tree-lined avenues, the solemn ANZAC War Memorial, meandering paths lined with fig trees, and the stunning Archibald Fountain.

2. **Australian Museum**
As Australia’s first museum, this treasure trove houses an impressive collection of dinosaur skeletons and indigenous cultural exhibits, offering a fascinating glimpse into the country’s rich history and natural wonders.

3. **St Mary’s Cathedral**
A magnificent Gothic Revival-style cathedral with soaring twin spires, St Mary’s Cathedral is a sight to behold. The light filtering through the stained glass rose windows creates a mesmerizing display; it’s free to visit inside, and the organ sounds during Sunday Mass add a touch of serenity. We were fortunate enough to experience a Mass during our visit.

4. **Art Gallery of New South Wales**
The main entrance, adorned with bronze sculptures and Doric colonnades, exudes a strong classical aesthetic. Don’t miss the underground café, where you can savor delicious food and coffee at great prices. We indulged in some French bread rolls filled with ham and cheese, which were simply delightful. ☕️

5. **Royal Botanic Garden Sydney**
A legacy from the colonial era, this royal botanical garden is home to unique tropical greenhouses and endangered species areas. It’s a lush, green haven that offers a peaceful escape from the bustling city.

6. **Mrs Macquarie’s Chair**
Carved from sandstone, this viewing platform offers a classic postcard view directly facing the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. It’s least crowded at sunrise, making it the perfect spot for capturing those Instagram-worthy photos.

7. **Sydney Opera House**
With its sail-shaped shell roof, the Sydney Opera House is best viewed as the white top contrasts beautifully against the sunset in the evening. It’s a must-see architectural marvel.
8. **Circular Quay**
A bustling ferry hub and open-air art gallery, Circular Quay is a vibrant spot. Head to the second floor of the station for a panoramic view of what many consider the most beautiful station in the Southern Hemisphere!
9. **BridgeClimb Sydney**
For the adventurous, climb 134 meters to the top of the arch of the Sydney Harbour Bridge for a thrilling and unforgettable experience. We chickened out, but it’s definitely on our bucket list!
10. **Observatory Hill Park**
Once the site of a 19th-century observatory, this park offers a serene vantage point to overlook the traffic on the Harbour Bridge from its grassy slopes. It’s a perfect spot to relax and soak in the views.
