If Tasmania is the edge of the world , then Bruny Island is the hidden gem at the very end. Nestled across the sea from Antarctica, it’s a must-visit destination that you simply can’t miss in your lifetime

Jump straight into the adventure:

**Day 1: Hobart – Kettering Ferry Terminal – Bruny Island**
No need to pre-book tickets for the Kettering Ferry Terminal; just purchase them upon arrival. The current round-trip fare is $53.20, and the journey takes only 20 minutes.
Don’t forget to grab a map at the ticket office; it’s incredibly handy!

Once you arrive, follow this route to explore the island without backtracking:
**Get Shucked**: Indulge in the freshest, creamiest oysters
I’ve ever tasted in Tasmania.
**Bruny Island Cheese Company**
**Bruny Island Honey**
Enjoy free tastings; personally, I recommend Summer Blossom and Ginger for their delightful flavors.

**The Neck Game Reserve Lookout**: A breathtaking spot with a stunning view. After dark, head to the viewing platform to catch a glimpse of penguins
.
Drive along the scenic coastal road to Adventure Bay, where you might spot the elusive white kangaroos.
On a clear night, the Milky Way stretches across the sky, and if you’re lucky, you might even witness the mesmerizing aurora!

It’s highly recommended to spend the night here, or you can return to Hobart if you prefer.

**Day 2: Cape Bruny – Robert Point Ferry Terminal**
Start the day with a breathtaking sunrise at The Neck; the view is absolutely stunning!
Visit the Bruny Baker Bread Fridge and help yourself to some delicious, chewy bread; just remember to pay!
Mabel Bay Lookout offers a panoramic view of the dramatic cliffs across the bay.

The road to Cape Bruny Lighthouse is a bit rugged, but the final trail rewards you with an awe-inspiring vista of the “end of the world.”
Return to Hobart
**Precautions**:
Cell signal on the island is quite poor, so make sure to download offline Google Maps.
The oyster, honey, and cheese shops all close at 4 PM, so plan your visit accordingly.
