โPerth is definitely our favorite city on this trip,โ both my partner and I agreed before we left. Beyond the well-known attractions like the Pinnacles and Rottnest Island, the city itself has a charming allure. Watching the sunset over the coastal boulevard made me envious of the joggers and dog walkers enjoying the serene beauty.

Even at 9 or 10 PM, after a delightful dinner, we noticed that many people were just starting their night out, heading to bars for a drink. The entire city exudes a clean, modern vibe, and from December to February, public transportation is freeโฆ

Hereโs a guide to the major attractions:
White Sand Dunes and the Pinnacles:
We joined a one-day tour with an enthusiastic guide, departing at 2 PM and returning close to midnight. The tour included visits to the White Sand Dunes, the Pinnacles, a simple barbecue dinner, and stargazing. Our guide was fantastic!

He shared the rich history of each site, and at the White Sand Dunes, he even led us in some thrilling sandboarding sessions! Dinner was a casual affair with bread, salad, and grilled sausages, followed by a brief introduction to the constellations and a chance to stargaze with provided telescopes.

Overall, it was an incredibly rewarding experience! The Pinnacles, bathed in the golden hues of the setting sun, created a serene and gentle scene amidst the rugged, primitive landscape. After dark, the area took on a mysterious and tranquil atmosphere. I absolutely loved the wild, untamed feel of it all!

Caversham Wildlife Park:
This zoo is not too far from the city, but unfortunately, you canโt get there directly by busA taxi ride costs around 30
, and if you opt for the bus, be prepared for a 2km walk from the bus stop to the park.
Caversham Wildlife Park stands out for its exceptional interaction opportunities, where you can see the care and respect for animals everywhere .

Hereโs a recommended visiting order: Enter the park at 9:00 AM and start by feeding the kangaroos 10:00-10:30 Mollyโs Farm Show
10:30-11:00 Reptile House
11:00-11:30 Wombat Enclosure
11:30-12:00
Grab a light meal or sandwich at the Kiosk
12:00-12:30 Queue up to hold a koala!
Tip: You can purchase tickets to hold a koala at the gift shop at the entrance for 35per person, and itโs best to go early as there are only about 40 slots available.

My absolute favorite activities were feeding the kangaroos and holding a koala!
I totally get why you love Perth so much! The mix of adventure, wildlife, and that relaxed vibe is unbeatable. Rottnest Island sounds amazing, Iโd love to see those quokkas in person. Must be awesome to have such an active nightlife too!
