Discover Adelaide: Truly Beautiful, Truly Rural Escape Experience

The first day was a revelation: The streets were impeccably clean, the cityscape breathtakingly beautiful, and the urban planning truly exceptional. What on earth is the Victorian government doing? Can’t they open their eyes and take a look at South Australia next door?

By the third day, I was already pining to return to Melbourne! How to explain it… I got disoriented at the National Financial Meeting in Changsha, but after just three days, I had memorized the routes to every corner of the city [smiling R]. On the outskirts, each day felt like a sunny afternoon on Chinese New Year’s Day in a bustling domestic commercial center—perfect weather, serene and peaceful [doge].

But honestly, it was stunning! Just wandering around the city, three days felt more than sufficient. The bus rides might be a bit lengthy, but they are still manageable, and you can even use Apple Pay directly on board.

If you have the chance, I highly recommend driving yourself around Kangaroo Island. Joining a tour group often means hours of travel for just a few minutes of photo ops, surrounded by a crowd of elderly travelers. The sea lions, though, are absolutely adorable [shy R][shy R][shy R]—round and plump, waddling along with such charm.

I totally get that feeling of wanting to explore more after just a short visit. Adelaide seems like such a hidden gem with its clean streets and beautiful cityscape, but maybe it’s not for everyone if you’re longing for the hustle and bustle of Melbourne.

Adelaide seems amazing with its clean streets and beautiful cityscape. But three days might be too short to fully explore such a place—hard to decide if it’s better than Melbourne!
