But, alas, there’s some heartbreaking news: this beloved little shop is being forced to close its doors soon!

🧑‍🌾The 27-year-old owner, Peter, announced with tears in his eyes that the branch, which has only been open for 18 months, will officially shut down on April 28th. It seems that the main tenant, People’s Market, has given them an eviction notice without any room for negotiation 😢

Peter shared, “We were just beginning to hit our stride, aiming to create a lively community space for gardening, but we were suddenly told to leave.”

🛒On a brighter note, there’s a fantastic clearance sale before the closure! Plant lovers can take advantage of these amazing deals:
✅ Rare edible plant seedlings
✅ Fruit trees and vegetable seedlings
✅ Organic compost and potting mix
✅ Sustainable gardening tools and accessories

📍Address: Garden Goodness – Port Adelaide 🕒 Last business day: April 28th

🌱While the Port Adelaide store is bidding farewell, their Smithfield location will continue to thrive! In the future, they plan to launch an online store, offering delivery throughout Adelaide. Peter also expressed his hope that, if the opportunity arises, he would love to return to Port Adelaide and reopen the store, bringing back the magic to the community.

I’m so sad to hear this store is closing—it’s such a special place! I hope all those amazing indigenous plants find new homes with people who appreciate them as much as the owner clearly does. It’s really touching to see someone pour their heart into something like this. I wish them all the best in whatever comes next!

I had no idea this place was closing—it’s such a shame! The selection of indigenous plants alone makes it worth visiting, and I can only imagine how special it must feel to be part of that community. I hope people rush to support the sale before it’s gone for good.
