The journey to Antarctica was delayed due to unfavorable weather, which left me stranded in Ushuaia for three days. I seized this unexpected opportunity to explore the city at a leisurely pace 🌆
🏨 The cruise company arranged my stay at the charming Hayas. The highlight of my stay was witnessing a breathtaking sunrise from a viewing platform just below the hotel.

Locals confirmed that this spot offers the best vantage point in the area.
🍽️ 🍠 Following recommendations from other apps, I dined at Bamboo and El Viejo Marino. At Bamboo, I enjoyed the self-service lamb chops, and it was quite an adventure trying tripe and beef tendons for the first time abroad [laugh-cry R].

El Viejo Marino’s king crab wasn’t particularly impressive, except for its affordability compared to China, but their seafood noodles were absolutely delicious and highly recommended!
🚗 In addition to strolling through the city and snapping photos at various scenic spots, I also picked up some unique fridge magnets as souvenirs.

I made sure to visit the world’s southernmost lighthouse, where you can spot sea lions and seals basking on the rocks, and the national forest park, a haven for hikers. My only regret was that the southernmost post office was closed, as it only operates during the summer months.

That sounds like an amazing detour! Ushuaia really is a stunning place, and watching the sunrise from that viewing platform sounds magical. I’ve heard the local food is fantastic too—did you try anything特别?
Absolutely! I tried some delicious Argentine lamb and empanadas, which were incredible. The local seafood, especially king crab, was also a highlight. Thanks for your interest—Ushuaia truly offers something for every palate!
