Ultimate Paris Shopping Guide 2025: Top Must-Buy Souvenirs, Luxury Goods & Local Finds in France

😞 Feeling like there’s nothing worth buying in Paris except for luxury goods… Simply sharing some items I found to be of good value!

1️⃣ Longchamp
The Longchamp bag is a must-buy when visiting France, right?
❌ Definitely don’t go to La Vallée Village outlet anymore. By the end of August, there were no good promotions, and even the classic colors (we picked black and paper white) couldn’t be combined with the outlet’s 10% discount coupon 😤
✅ We ended up buying at Printemps.

They’re currently celebrating their 160th anniversary, and if you register, you can get a 5% discount coupon. On top of that, we used UnionPay for an extra 10% off with no minimum spend, plus a 12% tax refund through Alipay. In total, we saved over €119 (for the bags pictured). If you spend over €188 in one transaction, you even get free bubble tea 🧋 (and it’s pretty good, not gonna lie!

).
The estimated prices after discounts and tax refund:
Small size: ~¥680+ | Medium: ~¥750+ | Large: ~¥810+
(Note: The tax refund hasn’t been processed yet, so this is based on a 12% estimate.)

2️⃣ Shakespeare and Company
The highly recommended canvas tote (€20 – a bit pricey but good quality and very versatile).
Poetry blind box (€5 – available at the checkout counter, where the staff prints three random poems on an old-fashioned typewriter. Super atmospheric!).

3️⃣ Disneyland Paris merchandise
Remy shoulder sit plush (€22 – heard it’s exclusive to Disneyland Paris, so bought one as a souvenir).
The blue souvenir egg – opens up to reveal the Eiffel Tower inside, with Mickey, Minnie, Chip & Dale, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Daisy, etc. on the outside. Quite comprehensive and very Paris-themed!

4️⃣ Galeries Lafayette Jellycat
Who can resist the Paris-exclusive Jellycat? Bought a purple macaron. The staff created a super lively atmosphere while “cooking,” and there’s even a Chinese version available, so no need to worry about language barriers!

5️⃣ Chocolate
Available at Carrefour, Monoprix, etc. My friend and I each bought 10 boxes…

6️⃣ City Pharma
Bought some La Roche-Posay sunscreen, restorative cream, hand cream, fish oil, etc.
📍 25 Rue du Four, 75006 – indeed the cheapest option.

7️⃣ Normal
Bought some mini perfumes – perfect for gifting.

8️⃣ Souvenirs
Postcards bought at Musée d’Orsay, the Louvre, and Montmartre.
Bought a Notre-Dame stained glass window souvenir at Sainte-Chapelle.
Baguette and Eiffel Tower fridge magnets from the highly recommended Tax Free La Boutique behind Musée d’Orsay (the owner is really nice – gave us an Eiffel Tower keychain when he found out we were Chinese…).
0-euro notes available at Sainte-Chapelle and Palais Garnier – €3 to exchange for a €0 note.

📚 Also, for those planning to visit Centre Pompidou recently – don’t bother. The main exhibition halls and souvenir shop are already closed. Only a temporary exhibition is still running, but you can still take photos in the photo booth on the first floor.

  1. The piece highlights practical shopping tips beyond luxury, like avoiding overpriced outlets. Finding a good deal at Printemps during their anniversary felt like a smart move. It’s refreshing to see real experiences shared instead of generic advice.

  2. The article made me rethink where to shop in Paris. I liked the tip about avoiding La Vallée Village this year. It’s smart to check for real deals instead of relying on old favorites.
