Good evening, dear friends!

Starting today, I’m thrilled to take you along on my journey through the happiest moments of my current adventure!

———10 unforgettable days in Colombia’s legendary coffee region☕️———

As many of you know, I’m a self-proclaimed coffee enthusiast. My mornings simply wouldn’t start without a cup of joe, and every city I choose to visit or live in has one thing in common: great coffee and charming cafes. So, when visiting Colombia—a country renowned for its coffee—I knew I couldn’t miss out on exploring its iconic coffee region.

Cheers to soaking up life in Salento, the heart of this magical coffee zone, where I spent my days savoring rich brews, hiking lush trails, and discovering the secrets of local coffee farms.

For 10 glorious days, I immersed myself in this serene place, embracing its unhurried lifestyle and meeting some of the kindest, most welcoming people I’ve ever encountered. This experience was nothing short of joyful and unforgettable ❤️. And now, I’ll be sharing my stories and travel tips from this incredible destination in three exciting parts.

### 1⃣️ How to Experience the Charm of Salento?

#### ❶ Where is Salento?
✔️ Nestled in the heart of Colombia🇨🇴, Salento is a hidden gem located west of Bogotá👋. It’s roughly a 9-hour drive away, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes that make the journey just as rewarding as the destination itself.

#### ❷ How Do You Get to Salento?
✔️ **By Bus**: A budget-friendly option at around 20Knife (Colombian pesos), buses to Salento are both convenient and scenic. You can opt for either daytime or nighttime departures☀️. First, take a bus to Armenia, then switch to a minibus for the final stretch (approximately 8+1 hours).
While night buses save time, I personally chose the daytime route—it’s safer and allows you to marvel at the stunning views along the way. South American buses are surprisingly comfortable, with seats that recline beyond 140 degrees for ultimate relaxation.
⚠️ Pro tip: Choose a window seat on the right side for the best panoramic vistas—the majority of the scenery unfolds on your right-hand side, and trust me, it’s absolutely mesmerizing!
✔️ **By Plane**: If you’re short on time, flying costs around 40Knife. Simply fly into Armenia and hop onto a minibus to Salento. On my return trip, I opted for this quicker route, which allowed me to maximize my time exploring even more wonders.
#### ❸ How Can You Truly Enjoy Salento?
✔️ **Sip Coffee Everywhere!!!** (Pic 4)
For any coffee aficionado, Salento is pure paradise. Cafes dot the streets, each serving freshly brewed cups of local coffee at incredibly affordable prices—about 1Knife per cup. This is hands down the most delightful and cost-effective coffee experience I’ve ever had. (P.S. I’ve documented my favorite spots in my vlog, coming your way this week!)
✔️ **Plaza Bolívar** (Pic 2, 5-8)
This picturesque square may not be massive, but it radiates charm with its towering palm trees🌴 swaying gently in the breeze. The atmosphere here is relaxed and inviting, complete with live music nearby and majestic mountains framing the horizon.
✔️ **Climb for Stunning Views** (Pic 3)
At the end of the bustling commercial street lies a set of about 200 steps leading to a breathtaking overlook. Climb to the top and feast your eyes on panoramic views of Salento—an awe-inspiring sight that captures the essence of this enchanting town.
✔️ **Capture the Beauty Through Photography**📸️ (Pic 1, 9-11)
Salento’s vibrant and uniquely colorful houses create the perfect backdrop for stunning photos. For the best shots, wake up early to enjoy softer light and fewer crowds. Combine the Spanish colonial architecture with those iconic tall palm trees, and you’ve got yourself postcard-perfect imagery.
✔️ **Cocora Valley and Coffee Farms**
Stay tuned because these adventures deserve their own spotlight. They were nothing short of exhilarating, and I’ll dive deeper into them in the next two segments!
