4⃣️ Gold Museum
To be honest, I wasn’t overly impressed with this museum 😐 It’s essentially a showcase of everything made of gold… [Facepalm] Admission costs 5,000 COP.

5⃣️ Santa Clara Museum
This one didn’t feel particularly worth the visit, especially with an entrance fee of 41,000 COP. The grand and splendid entrance is actually a former church turned hall for saints, filled with statues of various saints. However, the rest of the museum is rather small, dedicated to a modest memorial for ancient indigenous peoples.

In summary! This city is absolutely adorable and bursting with color. You absolutely must visit the Botero Museum and take the trip up the mountain. As for the other attractions, feel free to explore them at your leisure [Laughing].

———————————Food:
We dined at a fantastic steakhouse called Tbone, located near the tourist district. At around $40 per person, it offers a stunning ambiance. The beef was braised in red wine, delivering a delightful sweet-and-sour flavor that left us craving more – Yummmm!

Their appetizers were also quite unique. What appeared to be potato cakes turned out to be fried banana slices – surprisingly not sweet, with a texture akin to potatoes [Smacking lips]. One thing to note: restaurants here don’t provide complimentary water, which comes at an additional cost, and bottled water is priced similarly to juice.

———————————Tips:
👉🏼 Bogotá may be near the equator, but don’t let that fool you – it’s quite chilly! With its altitude of over 2600 meters, temperatures hover around 10°C, and occasional rain means you’ll want to bundle up to avoid catching a cold.

👉🏼 If you’re looking to buy a Wayuu bag, expect to pay about 100,000 COP for a large one and around 30,000 COP for a smaller version in the tourist areas. Prices might drop if you negotiate a bit [Cute].

👉🏼 Uber isn’t legally allowed to pick up passengers from the airport, so you’ll need to take a taxi instead. If an Uber driver gets caught by the police, they’ll face fines. However, you can still use Uber for rides to the airport.

👉🏼 Be sure to exchange dollars beforehand, and grab a SIM card on the second floor (departure area). The ones sold on the first floor (arrival area) are notoriously overpriced [Facepalm].
👉🏼 Many POS machines aren’t reliable, even if stores claim otherwise. You might find out they don’t work only when attempting to pay, so it’s best to carry cash whenever possible [Facepalm].
👉🏼 While locals seem friendly, it’s wise not to flaunt your wealth [Pulling face]. Avoid wearing flashy brand names and opt for casual sportswear if you can. When walking, consider keeping your phone tucked into your sleeve for added security.
