In Japan, where temperatures have been nearing 40°C for days, Hokkaido offers a comfortably cool summer, making it a perfect escape from the heat. The region is lush with greenery, vibrant flower fields, and stunning coastal views.

For first-time visitors unsure of how to explore, here’s my 6-day itinerary to save:

**Day 1 [Sapporo]**
Arrive at New Chitose Airport → Former Hokkaido Government Office → Shopping and dinner around Sapporo Station (Stay overnight in Sapporo)

**Day 2 [Otaru]** (Day trip)
Otaru Canal → Stroll and dine at Sakaimachi Shopping Street → Afternoon tea at Kita no Kuraudo, Rokkatei, and LeTAO → Otaru Music Box Museum → Otaru Canal night view → Return to Sapporo (Stay overnight in Sapporo)

**Day 3 [Furano]**
