I believe that for all Chinese food enthusiasts, the top priority when it comes to seafood is undoubtedly freshness [sly smile]. However, in most overseas seafood markets, the products are typically either live-frozen or ice-chilled. While the taste is decent, it often falls short of our high standards [disappointed].

As a passionate seafood lover, I must recommend an incredibly unique and hidden gem of a seafood store in Santiago, Chile [drinking milk tea].

It has no official name, only the 📍 address: Claudio Gay 2833.

At this store, you can frequently find live lobsters, crabs, and even oysters and snails. The snails are a must-try; I’ve visited three times and bought them each time. They are absolutely delicious and surprisingly affordable, just a few thousand pesos per kilogram [cute]. [If you’re curious, scroll back to see the actual seafood available at the store.

] The variety is impressive, and the prices are generally reasonable. Crabs usually cost around one to two thousand pesos each. The owner mentioned they will soon have king crabs in stock [frowning].

【Warm little tips】
1️⃣ This store closes at around 8 PM, but the area isn’t particularly safe. I strongly suggest visiting during the day, as the earlier you go, the fresher and more abundant the seafood. Be sure to keep your phone secure on the way.

2️⃣ The store doesn’t have a sign, so look for the number on the door in the seventh picture. The owner is Chinese, so you can also add him on social media in advance to inquire about the day’s available varieties.
