Flying from Singapore to Perth, Australia, is a mere 5-hour journey, making it even closer than a return trip to Hangzhou. The airfare is surprisingly affordable, and the best part? No jet lag! It’s the perfect opportunity for a family getaway during the school break.

Upon arriving yesterday, I enjoyed a blissful night’s sleep at the hotel, waking up naturally and feeling wonderfully refreshed. For breakfast, we indulged in some luscious strawberries
(which are not only more delicious but also cheaper than those in Singapore
), raspberries, and crisp little cucumbers
that I picked up from a nearby supermarket the night before.

My child savored a cup of instant noodles I had brought along, exclaiming, “Mom, these noodles are so yummy!” [Laughing with tears R].

We set off from the hotel around 11:40 AM and hopped into a taxi to BESK, which is open 7 days a week from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Although they serve alcohol, the neighboring restaurant wasn’t yet serving food, so we took a leisurely stroll around the area. The neighborhood is incredibly serene, with few people around, and the weather and temperature were just right, creating a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere!

We already felt the pace was quite laid-back when we moved from China to Singapore, but Perth takes it to a whole new level of relaxation [Sly smile R].

The venue is divided into two distinct sections, blending an industrial design that is both vintage and trendy. The ambiance inside and out is simply fantastic (outdoor photos 16-18).

On the left, you’ll find the besk bottle shop (photos 12-15), boasting a 5-star Google rating and often hailed as the best bar in Western Australia, with numerous awards to its name. It’s a paradise for craft beer enthusiasts, like a mouse in a rice jar [Smug R], offering a wide array of alcoholic beverages.

On the right, the besk restaurant spans two floors, complete with indoor and outdoor seating (indoor and outdoor photos 6-11, food photos 1-5). Today, we ordered a medium-rare steak, and to our delight, it was perfectly cooked, with no trace of blood; the meat was fresh and tender, and the sauce was divine!

We also tried a chicken dish, featuring three pieces of fried chicken, topped with peanut butter and a mix of nut ingredients, which was incredibly aromatic, crispy, and delectable! The only downside was that there wasn’t much for my 5-year-old to enjoy, so he munched on fries [Laughing with tears R].
But my partner was thrilled, savoring two refreshing drinks straight away, feeling thoroughly satisfied! If you’re in Perth, this place is a must-visit!
As the first meal of our family vacation in Perth, we were absolutely delighted. We ate, drank, and laughed heartily, and I can’t recommend this place enough [Selfie R]
