It’s incredibly affordable!!!
And it’s unbelievably delicious!!!
Local durians range from just 5 to 20 yuan per catty, and you can get a whole durian for as little as a few to a dozen yuan.

But let’s not get too carried away by the low prices. If we overlook the following points, all the joy of savoring these tropical treats will vanish in a flash!!!

🔆1. Do not eat durians or mangosteens in hotels, do not eat durians or mangosteens in hotels, do not eat durians or mangosteens in hotels!
Important things must be said three times. Violators will face fines (strictly enforced in star-rated hotels).
If you’re staying in a villa, it’s generally allowed, but it’s wise to confirm with the front desk first.

🔆2. If a seller demands payment once the durian is opened, even if it’s bad, you still have to pay.
Walk away immediately; this is a clear scam.
🔆3. A large seed doesn’t necessarily mean the durian isn’t tasty. Don’t be deterred by a big seed. If you’re an expert at picking durians, go ahead, but it’s safer to ask the driver or the vendor for help.

🔆4. Finally, while local durians in Bali may not match the quality of Musang King or Black Thorn, given their low price, it’s best not to be too picky.
PS: Remember, durians cannot be taken on airplanes.

Here are three highly recommended places, which you can easily find on Google Maps:
🚩1. Address: OMAH DUREN MONTONG BALAP
🚩2. The durian cart opposite Depo bangunan denpasar is also fantastic. It usually sets up around 2-3 PM. Despite being a small stall, the quality is top-notch.
🚩3. Safari Buah, a local fruit supermarket, is another great option.
